How to customize your alphabet?

Hello everyone!

I am sure you already had that situation when you need an alphabet in grey and you realise you have 50 different alphabets with all colours of the rainbow…except that bl**** grey!

I will propose you here a very simple and quick solution to have the colour of your choice and to customize your alphabet as you want!

Step 1: cover the letter with gesso

Step 2: You can cover the letters with small pieces of masking tape. Don’t forget to cover it again with gesso as we will use some inks later. The gesso paste will be a good base to use stamps afterwards.

Step 3: choose some small stamps and use them with Versafine ink for a perfect result. You can use ink on the border of the letter or not. See the example here:

Step 4: Stampin’ up proposes watercolor inks. You can use them with a bit of water to color your letter and have the result of your choice depending on what you need for your project.

Step 5: if you want, you can use some glossy accent (Ranger) to add highlighted dimension to your letters.

Here the result:

I hope you will enjoy doing this! Have fun!

Scrappy kisses! Melissa
